Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp did not mince his words when he spoke about the referees favouring Man Utd. The German coach said that the Red Devils get a lot of penalties, something which Maguire did not like one bit.
The Man Utd central defender spoke to the club's television channel and did not hesitate in responding to the Liverpool manager, without mentioning his name.
"Ever since other people from other teams spoke about us we’ve had absolutely nothing from the referee or VAR," he said.
The defender explained that United cannot feel confident about getting any good decisions from the referee. "At the moment we’re playing without them so we’ve got to make sure we’re not leaving the game in the hands of the referee or the VAR."
On the draw with West Brom, Maguire was expecting to get a penalty, but the referee eventually took it away. "I was so confident that it was going to be given as a penalty but it seems like the decisions at the moment are going against us so we’ve got to be doing more to win the game," he concluded.
