Magalhaes on verge of signing new Arsenal deal until 2030

Gabriel Magalhaes has once again played a key role in leading Arsenal's defence alongside William Saliba this season, although his strong performances have not led to the Gunners lifting silverware this campaign.
In fact, the Brazilian centre-back was a major absentee for Mikel Arteta's side in the closing stages of the season, picking up a hamstring injury against Fulham just before the Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid.
Despite this, the Arsenal board are very happy with Magalhaes' performances in recent seasons and, considering his current contract expires in 2027, they are working flat out to secure his long-term future at the club, something they appear to be close to achieving.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Emirates Stadium outfit and the Brazilian centre-back are close to agreeing a deal to extend his commitment to the club until June 2030.
