"It's not a question of techical quality. It's a question of mental strength, of carrying on when things aren't working out. They need to make sure the Real Madrid defenders come out of the game feeling like they've just gone through hell," Ginola stated, speaking to 'Le Parisien'.
Ginola continued, emphasising the importance of a team effort. "We already saw in the first leg that it wasn't a case of Cristiano vs Neymar," he said. "The second leg will also be about a collective effort. We need to mark our territory quickly, to show Madrid that it will be a difficult night for them, and we need to stay strong at the back."
Touching on Neymar's absence, the ex-PSG man displayed optimism over the French sides options. "It's a bad bit of news, obviously, becuase he's a great player, but there are alternatives in Cavani, Mbappe, Di Maria...Di Maria needs to play the game of his life."
Referring to his experiences in 1993, when PSG defeated Real 4-1 in the second leg to progress to the next round of the UEFA Cup, the former player recalled: "With ten minutes left, we were only 1-0 up, thanks to a goal from George (Weah), it's true. But we believed in ourselves. We dominated the game, and nobody was below their normal level."
