Madrid 'lucky' to get away with three goals - Bellingham on Arsenal humbling

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham acknowledged that even though they conceded three goals to Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, the English side could “have scored more” goals.
“We didn't come close. That's the truth, and Arsenal were really good. I know two of their goals were free kicks, but they could have scored many more. We were lucky to get away with 3 goals. They punished us and that happens in top-level football,” he said on Amazon Prime after the game.
"To be honest, there are no excuses... we have to look solely at ourselves. It’s similar to what happened to us all season, but against Arsenal it’s on a larger scale," he added.
That said, Bellingham was confident they can turn the tie around at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday next week.
“There's a second game and that's what we're clinging to. We need something really special, something crazy, but a place where crazy things happen is our home. We're still alive, we've got 90 minutes of football and anything can happen at the Bernabeu", he commented.
