Cox was reportedly stabbed by Roma fans outside the ground, before Liverpool's Champions League semi against the Italian side, and two fans have been tried for the offence this week. The pair were refused bail and will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on May 24.
In solidarity with the Irish fan, the jersey of St. Peter's GAA Club, Cox's local Gaellic football club, was hung in the Liverpool dressing room ahead of kick-off in their clash with Stoke.
Furthermore, the message 'Sean Cox, You'll Never Walk Alone' was displayed around the Anfield pitch on sponsor boards during the fixture.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp recently wore a Liver Bird badge in the colours of the Irish flag during his pre-match press conference on Friday, while captain Jordan Henderson and other players sent a message to the Cox family.
