Liverpool set to return with Adidas kit after 13 years

After 13 years between Warrior, New Balance and Nike, Liverpool are set to return with Adidas as main kit sponsors. According to the 'Mirror', The Reds have agreed terms with the brand for a deal worth more than £60m-a-year from the 2025/2026 season and onwards.

The change in sponsors comes as a result of the club's contract with Nike expiring at the end of the season. While Nike tried to renew the deal with the English club, with Puma also pushing for a deal, rival-brand Adidas managed to seal the affair with Liverpool in the end.

Although details regarding the length of the parternship are yet to be revealed, reports suggest that it is likely to be a long-term one between the two parties. Financial penalty have also been reportedly included should Liverpool fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Losing the Reds is a big blow for the American-based brand, given that they're regarded as one of the biggest clubs in world football. Nike hold deals with Chelsea, Spurs and Brighton in the English top flight. Meanwhile Adidas fabricate kits for Manchester United, Arsenal, Fulham, Forest, Villa and Newcastle.
