Bournemouth's Jefferson Lerma has been given a six game ban and fined 40,000 pounds for biting an opponent during the match against Wednesday.
Lerma apparently bit Sheffield Wednesday's Josh Windass in the 83rd minute of a game back on 3rd November. Despite the fact the Colombian rejected the allegations, the FA announced that Lerma has been hit with a six game suspension and a fine.
Bournemouth have responded to the FA's statement saying that footage of the incident is "inconclusive" and that there are no pictures of Lerma biting Windass.
The footballer is considering appealing the verdict which would prevent him from playing in the first six Championship matches next season.
