Clement Lenglet explained that he doesn't see himself leaving Barcelona this summer after stories emerged placing him on the club's transfer list, following a season in which he's been unable to show his highest level.
"I signed a contract last season (in October and until 2026, with a release clause of 300 million euros). I will be at Barca next season", the Frenchman insisted in an interview to 'Eurosport', while his concentration turns to the French national team for the European Championships.
Lenglet also referred to Ronald Koeman. "He did a good job in his first year. We had a few difficult spells, but also others where we showed our quality and wins that gave us a positive image. I hope we keep on working and kick on next year".
Lenglet will have more competition in Barcelona's defence for the 2021/22 campaign. With the recent signing of Eric Garica from Manchester City, Koeman now has six centre-backs to his name: Ronald Araujo, Oscar Mingueza, Samuel Umtiti, Gerard Pique and the other two aforementioned.
