Rafael Leao is now part of Serie A history. The AC Milan striker made it 0-1 against Sassuolo with less than seven seconds gone in the match. The AC Milan winger's goal has been timed at 6.2 seconds.
It is the fastest ever goal scored in Serie A history, faster than the 8.1 seconds which Pablo Poggi took to score for Piacenza against Fiorentina back in 2011.
The AC Milan footballer beat that record this Sunday after a lovely pass by Calhanoglu from the kick off. Leao got past the Sassuolo defence and beat Consigli in goal.
The goal is the fastest ever goal in the top five European leagues. It is faster than Joseba Llorente's goal for Valladolid versus Espanyol in 2008. That was after just 7.3 seconds.
