Laporta and Koeman spoke to discuss team's future

Barcelona's unexpected draw against Levante has meant alarm bells are once again ringing at the club and Ronald Koeman is in the spotlight. 

Despite the fact Barca still mathematically have a chance of winning La Liga, it looks very difficult for them.

They are four points off Atletico Madrid and there are just six points up for grabs. Barcelona's poor results at the most important time of the league campaign has led to Joan Laporta meeting with the Dutch coach. 

The meeting took place over lunch at a well known place in an upmarket area of Barcelona, 'AS' and 'El Partidazo de COPE' published.

Journalist Helena Condia added more information on the radio programme and images were published on social media of the president and coach leaving the restaurant as well as Rafael Yuste, vice president for the sporting area of the club.

We will have to wait and see whether positive things came out of the meeting or not. 'Marca' says that Koeman's job is not on line as Laporta will only discuss that once the season is concluded.

Because Laporta would rather go step by step and first find a solution to the team's crisis ahead of the final few games of the season. 

According to the cited media outlet, Laporta will not discuss Koeman's future until the end of the season. The Dutchman has been heavily criticised by Barcelona supporters this term.
