Lamine Yamal dominates Europe's dribbling charts with massive lead
Lamine Yamal has established himself as one of Europe’s most promising talents. The young Barcelona forward has played a pivotal role for the 'Blaugranas', quickly becoming a key figure despite his youth and cementing his place as a La Masia graduate.
Yamal has carried his impressive form into the 2025/26 season, entering the final three months of the year as Europe’s leading dribbler. Across the continent’s top five leagues – La Liga, Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 – and major European competitions, including the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League, the Rocafonda native holds a remarkable lead of nearly 100 successful dribbles over his closest rival.
BeSoccer Pro data shows that Yamal has completed 234 successful dribbles. His closest challenger, Michael Olise, has 140, followed by Vinicius Junior with 129. These figures, recorded before the latest La Liga weekend, highlight Yamal’s dominance in this aspect of the game.
Beyond the top three, only seven other players have surpassed 100 successful dribbles, emphasizing the substantial gap between Yamal and the rest. Jeremy Doku ranks fourth with 121, followed by Mohammed Kudus (106), Desire Doue (104), Matteo Politano (104), Takefusa Kubo (104), and Nico Williams (101). Rounding out the top 10 is Brazilian winger Antony of Real Betis, with 99 successful dribbles this year across La Liga, Europa League, and Conference League.
With such a commanding lead in dribbling, Barcelona expects Yamal to continue driving their offensive output. He concluded the 2024/25 season with 18 goals and 21 assists in 55 matches, and has already contributed two goals and three assists in the first five league games of the current campaign.
