Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he will be back at Anfield on the final day of the campaign as Liverpool are closing in on their Premier League title since 2020. The Reds are 13 points clear from Arsenal in the standings with 10 games remaining until the end of the season.
"Yes, the plan is [to be in Liverpool] but not on the bus, I will be there with the people I saw on the bus," Klopp said during a fundraiser in Cape Town this week. "That's the idea to be honest, but we will see. I think I will be there for the last game."
Arne Slot has previously stated that the former Liverpool manager is "always welcome" to visit and admitted to having invited Klopp back to Merseyside for the crucial 2-0 wins over Real Madrid in the Champions League and Manchester City in the Premier League.
However, the German later revealed that he declined the invitations for fears of jinxing Liverpool. "I didn't want to go earlier to be honest because I didn't want to jinx it all the time. If I'm in the stadium for the first time and they lose, 'oh f*** sake'. So I go there when it's decided."
