Kevin de Bruyne suffers nose and eye socket fracture

Kevin de Bruyne had to leave the field of play in the 59th minute of the Champions League final against Chelsea.
He sustained a nasty looking eye injury after a colliision with Antonio Rudiger which saw the German's shoulder catch the Belgian in the face. De Bruyne was left with a black eye and had to be replaced straight away.
The Belgian has now left hospital and has confirmed that he has suffered a fracture to both his nose and his left eye socket. "Hi guys just got back from the hospital. My diagnosis is Acute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture. I feel okay now. Still disappointed about yesterday obviously but we will be back," De Bruyne wrote on Twitter.
As well as losing out in the Champions League final, the injury is a big blow for Belgium as the City footballer could now miss at least part of the tournament.
Belgium's first match of the Euro is in 11 days' time against Russia in Saint Petersburg. Roberto Martinez's team then face Denmark and Finland in what should be a comfortable group for the number one ranked side in the world.
After seeing De Bruyne's tweet, Chelsea replied to their tweet in a very sporting gesture. "Wishing you a speedy recovery," together with a blue heart.
