Bayern are forced to go to the transfer market. The sale of Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona forces the German club to look for a reliable replacement for up top.
Despite the fact not many clues have been given by the club's top brass, several options are on the table. Nevertheless, it seems like Cristiano Ronaldo is not one of them.
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidizic made it clear that the club have no plans to sign the Portuguese. CEO Oliver Kahn is the latest to second this.
"I love Cristiano Ronaldo, a fantastic player, but each club has its own philosophy and I'm not sure if it would be the right sign for Bayern and the Barcelona if we signed him now," he pointed out.
He ended up insisting that a transfer of these characteristics does not fit in with the ideas of a Bayern who will continue looking for other options.
