Nicolo Rovella is a new Monza player. The midfielder arrives from Juventus on loan until 30th June 2023.
Born in Segrate on 4th December 2001, he joined the Genoa youth team in the summer of 2017. On 3rd December 2019, he made his professional debut with the 'Rossoblu', in the Coppa Italia home match against Ascoli and, 18 days later, he made his debut also in Serie A, in San Siro.
In January 2021, Rovella signed for Juventus, who loaned him out to Genoa, where he became increasingly important. In the 2021-22 season he made 21 appearances in Serie A, proving to be one of the best young players on Italian football, before returning to the 'Vecchia Signora'.
After a second-place finish at Euro U17 in 2018, he captained Italy's U19s before joining the U21s team permanently, with whom he played in Euro 2021 and qualified for Euro 2023.
He has 46 appearances overall in Serie A and 15 scoring three goals for the Italy U21 national team. Now, Monza is his next destination and a chance to establish himself in the Italian top flight.
