Jorginho gets green light from Arsenal to play Club World Cup with Flamengo

A couple of weeks ago it was reported that Arsenal midfielder Jorginho was not going to renew his contract with the Gunners, which was due to expire at the end of the current season.
In fact, it was widely assumed that the former Chelsea player had reached a verbal agreement with Brazilian club Flamengo to sign a contract for the next few seasons.
One of the doubts regarding his signing was whether Arsenal would release the 33-year-old midfielder before his contract expired at the end of June so that he could play in the Club World Cup, something Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed.
As a result, Jorginho will join Flamengo before the start of the prestigious tournament, with only the official announcements to follow.
