Jonathan Tah close to Bayern Munich move on free transfer

The 29-year-old confirmed last month that he would not be renewing his contract, which expires in June, and talks with Bayern have since progressed significantly.
If final details are agreed, Tah will sign a three-year deal at the Allianz Arena, with an option for a fourth season. The move comes after the Bavarians reignited their interest in the centre-back, having previously attempted to sign him last summer.
On that occasion, a deal failed to materialise due to Leverkusen's €30 million asking price. The timing of the transfer aligns with the club's plans to strengthen their defensive options, particularly with Eric Dier set to leave for Monaco as a free agent.
Tah will leave Leverkusen after a decade of service, during which he made over 400 appearances and served as vice-captain.
His decision to depart comes just weeks after helping the club secure their first-ever Bundesliga title, marking the end of an era at the BayArena as he prepares for a fresh challenge with Germany's most decorated club.
