Harry Maguire is not having a good season. The Manchester United and England centre-back, with a poor record in his last 20 games, was once in the spotlight again against Germany.
The defender made mistakes in the first two goals of the German national team, something that has earned him a lot of criticism, despite the fact that England had nothing at stake in that game.
Jamie Carragher, in the 'Daily Telegraph', criticised Maguire. "It's too late," he said of whether he can save his Manchester United career.
"Too often, it seems as if the weight of the world is on his shoulders, as if he is a frightened bunny rather than the authoritative central figure he was," he said.
Carragher gave Maguire some advice. He has to start from scratch and to do that he has to come out of the Manchester United ranks. He also has doubts about whether he should be in Southgate's World Cup squad.
