"If only Barca had signed Ramos when he was at Sevilla"

The elections at Barca are set to take place in January and, after the departure of Josep Maria Bartomeu, there are several who aspire to take over the presidency of Barcelona. Toni Freixa is one of those pre-candidates who are fighting for it. He spoke to 'El Partidazo de COPE' to talk about his ideas at the club.
The response that most caught his attention was the one Freixa gave when he was told about the possibility of seeing Sergio Ramos at Barca: "An emblem of Madrid cannot come to Barca under any circumstances. I wish we had signed him when he was at Sevilla and he was offered. As I understand it, we could have signed him".
The situation of Leo Messi, an unknown: "It is not necessary to speak of Messi in this campaign. He is the best player in history and with whom we have achieved all the titles. The president, will have to decide many things. Messi is important, but not the only thing".
"Koeman? His trajectory as a player and his experience as a coach must be trusted. Barca need stability. With this you protect yourself. Yes, at Barca we have always had confidence in our managers. It happened with Rijkaard and Cruyff. That is what the club needs," he said.
The referees and the controversy: "It is a great excuse. As Madrid has been helped so many times... for every move that helps Barca there are 50 from Madrid. If I am president they are not going to take us for a ride".
And he closed on politics: "I do not intend to use politics to win these elections. If there are others who want to do it, they will know".
