Ibra NOT being Ibra: I'm close to the finish line, I'm a little scared"

At 40 years of age, Zlatan Ibrahimovic's footballing CV is worthy of a place in a museum. Currently at AC Milan, the Swede has always appeared unbreakable in front of the media. However, in his most recent interview, the footballer seemed a little more 'human'.

This is because, when he sat down with 'ESPN', the player admitted that he is a little scared of retiring from the beautiful game. This is an emotive comment rarely seen to come from a player used to having a straight face and acting almost machine like in interviews.

"I'm close to the finish line, I'm a little scared... The next chapter? There's many possibilities", he explained. 

However, nothing will be the same as playing professional football: "I can do a lot of things, but the adrenaline of being on a football pitch can't be found anywhere else. I'm trying to resist it (retirement). To keep playing, I have to be fit and enjoy myself".

"It's not worth playing if you're in pain, it's best to be realistic and say enough", he finished.
