"I've never thought about retiring; I'll get back to my old self"

Right now, it is Pedri who is in the spotlight at Barcelona. Not so long ago, the promising youngster and future Barcelona star was going to be Ansu Fati, but injuries got in the way.
The striker spoke openly on 'TV3' about the physical problems that have prevented him from excelling since then. But he looks to the future with optimism.
"It's normal that when you come back from injury, you come back playing very carefully. But I would say that it's just the first few minutes of the first game, then you forget about it. Right now, I'm playing without fear," said the Barcelona player.
Ansu Fati was asked if he considered retiring because of injuries: "I know where I come from and everything I have done to be here. I have never thought about retiring. I am very young and I have the whole future ahead of me".
"I'm working to achieve it and I have no doubt that with hard work and sacrifice, I'll get back to my old self. Right now I'm not at 100%, but I'm not far away," he confessed.
The young star is excited by the squad that Barcelona are building. "We are building a very good team, very competitive. The new signings will give us a lot during the season. They are great players who will help us", he explained.
"We are a team that wants to win titles. We know that in recent years, we've only won the Copa del Rey, and that is not enough at Barça," said Ansu Fati.
Finally, he spoke of the strong competition in attack: "We have a very strong forward line and we will have a lot of competition. This is very good for the team and for the players, we are not going to relax. We know that if you don't work well, you won't play because there will be another player who can play in your place. This is good, because it will always keep us under pressure".
