"I never imagined that I would be playing in the best team in the world"

Courtois travelled with the Belgian national team but has since returned to Madrid after picking up a niggle that left Roberto Martínez not wanting to risk the star.
he hopes to be ready to play against Cádiz with that game taking place on the weekend of the 17th October. In the meantime, Courtois is working on his recovery back in Spain.
On Instagram, he celebrated reaching seven million followers by answering questions that often surrounded his commitment to Real Madri.
"From the age of 11 I dreamed of being a goalkeeper, but I never could have imagined that I would be playing in the best team in the world. It is a dream come true", he said.
With regards to what it feels like to play at the Bernabeu, the keeper said that it is "a great joy". On the other hand, he gave some advice to everyone on how to get started in football.
"What I get at the Bernabeu brings me great joy, it's an honour to be able to play here. In general, I would tell young people to keep working hard and watching videos of other players to learn and replicate what they are doing", he continued.
If he hadn't become a footballer, Courtois had a back-up plan. "I never pursued it, but when I was younger I always thought about physiotherapy because my mother was a PE teacher at a school", he finished.
