"I laugh when they call me fat"

In an interview with 'The Guardian', the Uruguayan player spoke about Liverpool's situation and state since he left for Barcelona, his adaptation to the Catalan team, and the public's criticisms of him and Coutinho.
And Luis Suarez is not a person who hides. The season began at a lower level than it is right now. "They call me fat. I laugh at it, I laugh. You go to a couple of games and they tell you you're on a bad streak. People talk, they highlight the fact that I haven't scored in three or four years. That's what you have to endure when you play in Barcelona," he said.
On his current team-mate, Philippe Coutinho, who was also criticised by the Camp Nou stands, the striker gave him a piece of advice: "We have to live with constant criticism. You have to have the inner mental strength to overcome bad times. He's young and I try to advise him. At Liverpool he proved to be the player he is. He has to accept criticism, but the most important thing is that he is comfortable, happy".
Suarez also talked about his rival in the Champions League semi-finals. "The top three are very fast and very talented. They are players who make a difference. It's the kind of players you'd like to play with," he said.
"Sometimes people don't appreciate the leagues Barcelona has won. It's like it's easy, nobody thinks about it a lot. But then you go and lose to Alaves and Valladolid and they say they are a disaster. You have to appreciate all the titles," he concluded.
