'I identify with Klopp's way of understanding football'

"All models are respectable. I identify very much with Klopp's way of understanding football. The goal as a coach is to make your players better. If you have a combination of players, you shouldn't give up on that," said Bordalás.
Getafe's coach believes that the beautiful game is in constant movement and, therefore, competition is essential. "Football is changing, it is much more dynamic, demanding, and it is true that if you don't compete, anyone can beat you", he said.
Between Klopp and Guardiola, Bordalás chooses the former. "I like his style better. But I don't think Pep's only hallmark is possession and the ball. Klopp interprets football in a different way, he doesn't think he needs 20 passes to create goal situations. You don't need long periods of possession to have chances anymore. That's modern football," he said.
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding about a future for Bordalás away from Getafe. The coach admitted that he has not lacked offers. "My representative told me when the league ended. I told him not to tell me before. I said "no" to some opportunities. If I leave Getafe, it would be to train a team with higher objectives and that was not the case", he confessed.
"I haven't thought about other possibilities. I've had offers from other leagues, they've been valued, they haven't been good and I haven't even commented on them. We'll see what happens from now on," concluded Bordalás.
