"I feel sorry for them but I have to do my job"

Joao Pedro has landed on his feet at Chelsea. The Brazilian striker needed just one start to prove he wants to fight to be Maresca's first choice striker.
The former Brighton & Hove Albion striker scored twice against his former side Fluminense in the semi-finals of the 2025 Club World Cup to earn Chelsea a place in the final of the prestigious new tournament.
Although it would have been a source of great satisfaction, the Blues striker did not celebrate either goal against his former side, something he explained after the game.
"When I was young they gave everything to me, they showed me to the world," he said after collecting his award for player of the match.
"If I am here now it is because they believed in me so I am very grateful but this is football, I have to be professional. I feel sorry for them but I have to do my job."
