Manchester City man Phil Foden claimed to enjoy playing last year at the Santiago Bernabeu a lot and said that the experience of going up against Real Madrid in their backyard was "very special".
Foden, who has seen himself reduced to the bench this season at City due to injuries, spoke about his memories of last year when Real Madrid came back in added time with a Rodrygo brace.
"I think we've got a great chance ahead of us, so we've got to be positive. We have to believe in ourselves. We've already got to the final before, so we've already proved that we can be in these rounds", Foden said.
"Despite losing, I loved going up against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu. The atmosphere and being at a stadium like that... I enjoyed every moment, although the game didn't go how we wanted. Just the experience of being in that stadium was very special", the English forward added.
Manchester City will travel to Madrid on Monday to finish up preparations for the game. Foden has now overcome the physical problems and is available for the semi-final.
It's worth remembering that the first-leg is to be played at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, while the second-leg will take place next Wednesday at the Etihad.
