"I didn't train, I decided to improve my mental health instead"

It is clear that, in moments of crisis, every person reacts in a different way. And from a person like Pione Sisto, an unusual reaction is not a surprise.

In an Instagram live chat, the Danish player for Celta Vigo, who is in quarantine like Fedor Smolov, admitted that he has not taken the club's training programme seriously. He and Smolov are in quarantine as they have come back to Spain from abroad.

Sisto admitted that he did not act in accordance with the plan Celta's coaching staff sent him: "I didn't do it for many reasons. What I did do was use a lot of this time to improve my mental health. Something which I would call meditation."

The winger tried to explain himself: "I've thought about things which I've been through and what I will have to go through."

That said, the Danish player confessed that, despite the problems he has been through, he does not want to leave Celta. "There is a reason I'm still here. Personally, I think I can keep growing at Celta. I know that because of the club's ambition, the coach we've got and the quality of my teammates," Sisto concluded.
