"I didn't feel bad about Messi's fax, I understood it"

Pere Riera will be one of the options for voting among Barcelona's partners in the elections to be held on 24 January. He is the only candidate who has played football in clubs such as Júpier or Blanes and who has a new project.
The pre-candidate has never been involved within Barcelona and, for the moment, not many names have come out of what would be his board of directors. In an interview in the newspaper 'Goal' he spoke at length and, above all, gave his opinion about the future and the situation with Messi.
"I didn't feel bad about Messi's fax because I understood it. I do not know him personally, but he has been at Barcelona for 20 years, his family is integrated in the city and his children were born here. He is the best in history and has proved it many times. He has given everything to Barcelona," he said.
Pere Riera confirmed that Messi wants to talk to the new president to reach an agreement on his future: "We have the opportunity to show him a four-year project for him to decide, but if he wants to take a different path it will be his decision. We will continue".
Pere Riera assured that the best thing to do is to ask him how he sees himself and how he would be happier. "I'm sure there's a place for him and I'd love to see it in the new Camp Nou", he concluded.
