Hernandez Hernandez to make Champions League debut

Good news for Spanish refereeing and there is more proof their officials are rated highly in Europe. According to journalist Ramon Fuentes on 'Mundo Deportivo', Hernandez Hernandez has been appointed by UEFA for a Champions League match.
The referee will take charge of the game between Juventus and Zenit St Petersburg next week. The match comes from group H.
Alejandro Hernandez Hernandez has still not taken charge of a Champions League proper game. He had officiated in the qualifying rounds and as a VAR.
The referee from the Canary Islands has also done Europa League and Europa Conference League matches as he belongs to the 'First' group category of referees. That is the second highest category.
