Haaland misses penalty for first time in career!

Haaland missed a spot kick for the first time in his career. The Borussia Dortmund striker got a penalty in the Bundesliga clash versus Augsburg, but he hit the ball too hard. His teammate Delaney appeared shortly afterwards to level. 

Erling took a run up and hit a powerful spot kick which cannoned against the crossbar. The ball then went well over Gikiewicz's goal. It was surprising as he is normally very reliable from 12 yards. 

The last time he took a spot kick was on 19th September last year. That was back on matchday one against Borussia Monchengladbach. That day, he scored a brace to show why Dortmund signed him from Salzburg. 

There is always a first time for everything and Haaland now knows what it is like to miss a penalty. This does not take anything away from any of his great performances. Since he shone at Salzburg, the striker has gone from strength to strength.
