Gyokeres set for summer exit with Premier League in sight

Gyokeres has regained his form after a slight dip late last year, just as the Portuguese league title race heats up. While Sporting chase back-to-back league titles, Portuguese outlet A Bola has revealed that the club and the player have agreed to part ways in the upcoming transfer window.
The player could have left in January, but Sporting raised his release clause to €100 million to ward off potential suitors. However, the Lisbon-based club is expected to honour the agreement this summer and allow him to leave for a fee between €65 million and €70 million.
The 26-year-old is determined to play in the Premier League. He previously spent time at Brighton but never fully established himself, and now he is eager to prove himself in England. While Manchester United, coached by his former manager Ruben Amorim, was an option, his primary interest lies in Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.
Although City already have Erling Haaland leading the line and have added Omar Marmoush, Liverpool and Arsenal are more in need of attacking reinforcements.
Gyokeres is also open to a move to one of Europe's other top clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and PSG. Sporting are willing to honour the player's wishes, even if the offer from his preferred club is slightly lower than others.
This season, the Swedish forward has scored 39 goals, just four short of matching his tally from 2023/24. Despite the tougher challenge of competing in the Champions League this year, he has also provided nine assists, falling short of the 15 he achieved in the previous campaign.
