Guardiola "not optimistic" Spain can improve racism situation

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola claimed that La Liga should learn from the Premier League when it comes to punishing racism, as well as saying that despite hoping things will improve in Spain, he's not optimistic.

The Spaniard spoke in the press conference of the Brentford game, and was asked about the Vinicius situation, and whether the Spanish top flight need to learn: "They should. Here they're very strict, they know what they've got to do. But racism is everywhere, not just in one place. It's a poblem everywhere. We've been taught that we're better than our neighbours, that we're better than the rest".

"But our generations come from everywhere in the world. Our ancestors are immigrants, warriors, dictators. People that had to leave their countries, create families, maybe return to their original country... The problem is that racism is everywhere. And notonly in your skin colour or sex, but also in attitudes. We think that our country is better than the rest", Pep Guardiola insisted.

He also added to end: "The more you travel, the more you realise that we're all the same, you accept the diversity. We're still very far from that. I hope that the racism problem in Spain can improve, but I'm not very optimistic".
