Guardiola, Mancini and Tuchel: finalists for UEFA coach of the year

There are now officially finalists for the award of UEFA's coach of the year. The players elected are De Bruyne, Kante and Jorginho. The first nominee belongs to City, the other two are Chelsea players. Rightfully, both club's managers are in the running for the coach's award - Pep Guardiola and Thomas Tuchel - alongside Italy manager Roberto Mancini.
The manager of the Blues and 'azzurri' are favourites, given their Champions League and European Championships won, respectively - the two trophies of highest prestige of the European sporting body. The former took over from Frank Lampard in South West London to finally get his hands on the coveted trophy that he had been searching for for years at PSG.

His ability to make his team deploy an effective style dependent on the opponent - which was most obvious against Spain in the semis, but also the latter stages of Belgium in the quarters - while at the same time create an exciting brand of football, saw him triumph in the competition and are the main reasons behind his nomination.
To deduce who would be the three finalists, a vote was carried out between managers and journalists. The order in which they are is merely alphabetical, and soon UEFA will reveal who will take home the title after votes from teammates and analysts are counted.
