Frank Lampard revealed Mount's England call-up with joke

It has been revealed that Derby County manager Frank Lampard was the man to inform Mount, 19, about his inclusion in the senior England squad for the first time, ahead of their fixtures with Spain and Croatia this month.
Young midfielder star Mount, who is on loan at Pride Park from Chelsea, has been fully included into the squad, following a period of training with the senior side before their World Cup Semi-final finish in Russia last summer.

And now, having taken his place with the squad at St George's Park, Mount has told the story of how his club manager Frank Lampard told him the news, albeit with a bit of a twist.
Speaking to Derby County's official TV channel, 'RamsTV', Mount described the moment he found out about his call up, saying:" He (Lampard) spoke about maybe I needed a rest against QPR and then he told me about how Gareth had called him up and told me I was going away with the England first team. He definitely played me!'
Mount is aware of the battle ahead if he truly wants to establish himself as a consistent member of Gareth Southgate's squad going forward, and in considering this, he took the opportunity to thank teammates and staff at Derby County for helping his development thus far: " It will be two tough games. It's great experience for me but I've got to say thank you to the gaffer, Jody Morris and all the staff here at Derby County, and the players as well.
Mount continued: "Without them and the way we play and the way we have been playing, I wouldn't be in the position I am now so a lot of thanks has to go to Derby County."
First up for England is a clash with World Cup finalists Croatia on October 12, before another tricky encounter against Spain in the Nations League three days later.
