'France Football' assures Herve Renard will resign

'France Football' are clear: Herve Renard will formally offer his resignation as Morocco coach in the coming days although Morocco's federation denied that they would part company. 

Hours after the organisation announced it, the prestigious French media outlet pointed out that Renard, who won an African Cup of Nations with Zambia and another with Ivory Coast, has offers from Africa and Asia. 

In the last edition, Morocco were surprisingly knocked out in the last 16 against Benin on penalties after a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes. 

The cited source also highlighted that the main candidate to take over from Renard is Vahid Halilhodzic, 67.
