Four names proposed to Zidane

Taking a priority over any move for Neymar, Real Madrid are looking at options to strengthen multiple areas of their squad. After winning the Champions League in Kiev, 'Los Blancos' are already targeting their weakest areas for the upcoming season.
'Marca' have claimed that their main worry is the defence. As such, Alisson in goal as well as Odriozola, and Gimenez from Atletico Madrid could all be incoming to shore up at the back.
They are well known names in Spain. Every single one of these players has been linked with Madrid over the last season, and after a couple of years of relative frugality, the capital club could be ready to spend big on these players who have stood out for their respective clubs this season.
Alisson is the name that resonates the most. He has performed admirably as Roma went all the way to the Champions League semi-finals, as well as finishing third in Serie A, and he will soon be going to the World Cup with Brazil. Despite Keylor Navas' strong performances, he could face some stiff competition.
Gimenez and Odriozola have also spent their fair share of time on the radar. Gimenez was linked to Atletico's rivals in 2016 before Simeone convinced him to stay. Odriozola will be competing with Dani Carvajal for the right back position in Spain's World Cup squad, and that could soon be the same at club level.
Finally, Mariano could be prevented from being another who got away. He came through the Real Madrid youth setup, before being sold to Lyon last summer. However, after 21 goals this season, a hasty return could be on the cards.
These are the favourites to sign for Zidane's side, more so than Neymar, as Real look to continue making history.
