Ex-Liverpool striker Firmino set to join Al-Ahli

Roberto Firmino has become the next player set to join the Saudi Pro League, after reports on Friday from 'The Guardian' that he had agreed a deal with Al-Ahli.
The former Liverpool striker has not passed the medical with the club, but the outlet reports he has agreed personal terms on the contract that will run until 2026.
The 31-year-old joined Liverpool in 2015 for £29 million and made 361 appearances for the Reds, scoring 111 goals for his club. He will join former Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy, who announced his move to Al-Ahli earlier this week.
The two join flocks of players making the move from the Premier League to Saudi Arabia, for lucrative contracts. Other names include Ruben Neves (Wolves to Al-Hilal) and Kalidou Koulibaly (Chelsea to Al-Hilal), as Saudi Arabia spend big to attract star players from Europe's top leagues.
