After Brazil's thumping victory over South Korea in the last 16 of the World Cup, one of the most shocking episodes of the World Cup took place. Cameroon legend and FIFA ambassador Samuel Eto'o appeared in a video which went viral on social media. He is seen assaulting a fan who was filiming him. He even kicked a supporter.
This happened outside the stadium after the Brazil match. It seems like the fan, while pointing his camera at him, says something which the ex-footballer takes exception to. Then, after confronting him on several occasions, he gives his mobile phone to the person who is closest to him and then runs at the fan before kicking him and sending him to the floor.
Ricardo Lopez Juarez, journalist for 'La Opinion de Los Angeles', was there, he filmed the incident and revealed everything that happened to Spanish radio programme 'El Larguero' on 'Cadena SER': "I didn't understand what they were saying. I heard Eto'o exchanging words with the fan in an angry manner. He started chasing the man uncontrolably. The fan had his camera snatched off him and there, Eto'o makes the mistake. Instead of walking away, he kicks him."
"I wanted to see what had happened, but Eto'o came towards me, I imagine because I was filiming. He confronted me because of that and I thought he was going to attack me. I asked him whay happened and he couldn't speak because he was so angry. Those who were with him took him away," he added. At the moment, there has not been official consequences for Eto'o, who could be in serious problem if the fan decides to file an official complaint against him.
