Palmeiras are still celebrating after winning the Campeonato Paulista. The Brazilian club, who lost the first leg 1-0, finally managed to turn the tie around with a 2-0 win at the Allianz Parque. It was a match in which Endrick played a key role, winning the 1-0 penalty and assisting on the second goal.
The striker, who will join Madrid this summer, pushed his performance to be available for the second leg and that will cost him dearly as he will have to be out of action for four weeks with an overload.
"I'm injured but it didn't affect anything. I've tried, Palmeiras are my team and I had to do everything I could to help the club. It doesn't matter, I feel pain, I'm hurt but I'm going to play, I'm going to give my life for you and for Palmeiras," he told 'ESPN'.
As a result, Endrick will miss Palmeiras' next six games - four in the Brazilian league (against Vitoria, Internacional, Flamengo and Sao Paulo) and two in the Copa Libertadores (against Liverpool Montevideo and Independiente del Valle).
His return will practically coincide with the final stretch of his career in the team where he has grown up since he was a child. He has always given what he had and more for a club he hopes to leave in a good position in the different tournaments.
