Bayern Munich forward Douglas Costa was the star of the show on Tuesday night, turning in a match-winning performance as Brazil eased past Peru 3-0 in Salvador.

The 25-year-old responded to being dropped for Friday’s 1-1 draw with Argentina in Buenos Aires by stepping up to lead the Selecao to a victory that has their World Cup qualification campaign back on track.

Costa bundled in the opener before creating goals for Renato Augusto and Filipe Luis.
