Di Lorenzo asks Napoli to let him leave

Giovanni Di Lorenzo wants to leave Napoli. The captain and heart and soul of the Napoli side has asked the club to let him leave for another club this summer by terminating his contract.

'Il Corriere dello Sport' claims that the defender has asked the club to either terminate his contract or let him leave on a transfer to another club, as he believes his spell at the club has come to an end.

Di Lorenzo renewed last summer until 2028, with an option to extend it for another year. Now, his situation has changed and he does not have the confidence he had just 12 months ago.

The criticism he has received throughout this season has made the Napoli captain tired, and he is now looking for a new destination to continue his career.
