Dembele 2020

Antoine Griezmann made Barca fans happy in the 3-1 win over Dortmund with a good match and a goal to round off his great performance. However, the oppositite can be said of Ousmane Dembele. 

The Frenchman got injured in the first half and ended up getting frustrated. He took off his boots as a sign of being fed up and then was sad and annoyed as he went off the field. 

While we wait for more information, the Frenchman has an injury to his right thigh and as it is a muscle injury, it is more than probable that he will not reappear until next year. That is what 'AS' confirmed this Thursday. 

A major disappointment for a player who has suffered eight injuries in three years at Barca. Almost all of them serious ones. He hardly got injured while at Rennes and Borussia Dortmund. 

The early signs are that it is a femoral biceps tear in his right leg which would keep him out for around five weeks. 

The cited media outlet says that it could be a relapse of the injury he got in Vigo at the back end of last season. In addition, the club are concerned about his mental state. After the injury against Dortmund, Dembele looked very down and Barcelona do not want him to throw in the towel. 

Dembele being sidelined paves the way for Antoine Griezmann to start in one of the most important periods of the season. At least in La Liga.
