Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has yet to renew his contract and could leave Old Trafford in the summer. The Spaniard has had several blunders this season but his manager has always had faith in him.
"We want him to stay and we want him to extend his contract. He has the most clean sheets in the Premier League. We would not be here in this position without him," Ten Hag said.
Nevertheless, according to the 'Mirror', his future is "in serious doubt". The Red Devils are very close to signing Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa and the Portuguese could take De Gea's place next season.
United were also interested in Brentford's David Raya but the Spain international is being targeted by Tottenham Hotspur as Hugo Lloris is set to leave Spurs in the next transfer window.
