Davies could join Madrid as a free agent in 2025

Alphonso Davies' move to Real Madrid is looking more distant again as, according to 'Sky Germany', Bayern Munich are willing to let him leave as a free agent after next season. Until now, the Bavarians have forced the full-back to renew his contract if he wants to stay at the club.

Talks between the player and the German club are not coming to a successful conclusion. Bayern do not seem willing to meet the salary expectations of the Canadian, who is demanding 16 million euros per year from the Germans. The German club will pay him a maximum of 13 million euros.

They consider that they have the position well covered and there would be no problem in losing him after the next season. The signing of Ito from Stuttgart and the presence of Guerrreiro in the squad is a guarantee for them.

In the meantime, the Bavarian management thinks there is enough time to convince him to renew. Davies has not had his best season, but Munich are still confident that they can keep him and that he will be important again, as he showed against Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final. 

At Real Madrid, meanwhile, they are confident of securing his signing. If it can't happen this summer, they may be able to get him on a free next summer.
