Darder scores great goal from edge of the box to level against Barca

Barcelona clearly started the game as the better team in the opening minutes of the derby against Espanyol. However, although the scoreboard reflected Barca's dominance after Pedri tapped in a cross from Jordi Alba, Sergi Darder netted just before the break and levelled the scoring. 

The centre-midfielder who loves a screamer, as shown during his time at Malaga, made it 1-1 in the match. He received the ball from Raul de Tomas, approached the box, and shot past Ter Stegen. 

He used the inside of his right boot to curl the ball deliciously past the outstretched arm of the German keeper. He then wheeled off to celebrate the work of art he had just produced for the home fans.

The goal was a hammerblow for Barcelona as just moments before they were close to making it 2-0. A shot from close range from Adama Traore was stopped by the right shoulder of Diego Lopez and Ferran Torres' header missed by a whisker.
