At the beginning of the season, it was touted around that Inter Milan would finally leave behind the years of disappointment and false hope. Now it appears to be the same agonising team as was on show in previous seasons with the latest draw making it seven games without a victory for Luciano Spalletti's side.
Since the 0-0 draw against Juventus in early December, which was a great result considering the Serie A's performance this season, the 'Nerazzurri' has suffered two losses and five draws taking only five points from a possible 21.
The game against Societa Polisportiva Ars et Labor (SPAL), a team in decline, should have been the perfect opportunity to change that but even the debut of former Barcelona midfielder Rafinha could not inspire the side to victory.
Inter started strongly and led the game thanks to a Francesco Vicardi own goal in the 48th minute but couldn't hold on to the victory, conceding Alberto Paloschi's equaliser in the 90th minute. New-signing Rafinha was then brought on but he only had four minutes to touch the ball and make an impact.
This disappointing run has highlighted the lack of ability of Mauro Icardi, Ivan Perisic, Antonio Candreva and co. who sit fourth in Serie A, now 10 points behind second-placed Napoli and 12 adrift from leaders Juventus.
