"My injuries? I started to wonder if it would be possible to live without pain"

Since last April, Sime Vrsaljko has been through surgery three times, The player is tired of his bad luck, but he will not give up. "When I recover, no one will stop me at the right side," the Croatian told Sportske Novosti.

Despite the confidence that the Atlético player exudes, he admitted that he has had a hard time: "I have had difficult moments in recent months, in the last year and a half. There comes a time when you break down and you ask yourself: 'What is this? Is it possible to live without pain?" 

However, he explained that thoughts of bad luck due to his continuous relapses are of no use. "We are strong from my grandparents to the youngest. It will happen because everything happens. And when that time comes, believe me, no one will stop me," he said.

Finally, Sime also spoke of the figure of his coach Simeone and his support in difficult moments. "The coach is a pragmatic guy and as a player he went through everything. So he told me to have the maximum discipline in my recovery to be able to return as soon as possible", he concluded.
