Courtois tests negative again and can rejoin squad

Real Madrid returned to training and had their first training session ahead of the matchday 19 La Liga game away to Getafe on Sunday at 14:00 CET.

On the footballer who tested positive for COVID-19. the good news has come for Courtois, who has tested negative for the second consecutive time in a PCR test. That is according to 'Marca'. 

Now the ball is in La Liga's court and they will have to decide whether that is enough for him to be allowed to play on Sunday against Getafe. In fact, he left Spain during his Christmas holiday as he felt good. 

Training began with physical work on the pitch. Then, Ancelotti's men did several 'ronds', tactical work and practised having the ball and pressing.

The session ended with several matches on a reduced size pitch. Carvajal trained on his own on the pitch. Vinicius, Valverde and Camavinga are still recovering after testing positive for COVID on Wednesday.
