A solitary goal from centre-back Yerry Mina was enough for Colombia to secure the narrowest of victories over Senegal on Thursday, thus sealing them a place in the last 16 of the World Cup as group winners and leaving the World Cup without an African representative in the knockout stages for the first time since 1982.
