City on course to smash a host of Premier League records

The 1-0 victory over the reigning champions saw City move 18 points clear of second-placed Liverpool and just four wins from sealing the title.
City look nailed-on to life the trophy, however, should they continue their incredible form they could set a host of Premier League records along the way.
That total of 18 points between first and second is the current Premier League record, meaning that should they extend it, as the stats suggest they will (to 22 points no less), they will have another accolade to claim at the end of the season.
City currenlty hold 78 points after 29 games, meaning they need 18 more from their remaining nine games to beat the league's all-time record points total of 95, set by Jose Mourinho's Chelsea. Should they continue in their current vein, they will end the season on 102 points and become the first side to break three figures.
Pep Guardiola's side are also just five wins behind the Premier League record of 30 and are currently projected to finish the season on 33.
With such a high number of victories it goes without saying that City are also in with a shout of claiming the records for the most home and away wins in a single season, with current projections suggesting they will finish level with the current records of 18 and 15 respectively.
City have gained a reputation for their swashbuckling approach this season and their current totals of 83 goals for the season and a goal difference of +63 put them well in with a shout of surpassing the current records of 103 and +71, with the blue half of Manchester currently on course to plunder 110 goals and finish with a goal difference of +83.
Finally, should City claim the title when they are currently predicted to do so, they could do so earlier than any other side and a whole month before the last game of the season.
